Meet Courtney
Eeeee!! Hey there, I'm Courtney! I was born and raised in Texas, but not in the country. The suburbs are more my jam - I like having five Targets within thirty minutes of each other. I am a daughter of the King. I'm married to my high school sweetheart, Chris (read Our Love Story here). We are Aggies which means we bleed maroon #WHOOP ...if ya know then ya know. I've always loved dogs and I'm the luckiest to be able to be a mama to our sweet little Yorkie babes Mia "Mimi" and Zoey "Zozo".
I am the writer, content creator, and photographer behind this website and blog. That makes me sound a bit more fancy doesn't it? Well to be fully transparent...I write like I talk, take snaps of what I LOVE/inspires me and pull it all together to create content for you. It's nothing fancy and I'm certainly not an expert in any of these areas. Taking pictures is one of my favorite things to do (and yes, I'm one of those people who takes pictures of their food...but lucky for you because I know we all could use a little food inspo)! My husband is the With Grace & Love ("WG&L") assistant photographer and takes all of my outfit photos for me. He does a whole lot more than that though. Honestly without the desire that God put on my heart and without my husband's encouragement and support I'm not sure I'd be venturing into this world of blogging/website creation.
One thing you should know about me is that I've always had a heart for helping people. That is the heartbeat behind this whole thing to begin with. Whether it be a healthy and quick recipe that your husband will eat, some organization/life tips that I've learned, that one missing knick-knack that you needed to complete your bookshelf, or what have you!
My heart is so happy to have this space. Thank you, Lord. Thank you. I want to give Him ALL the Glory. I'm gonna show up and pray that God uses me in the way that He has planned. That is my Prayer. I need His guidance, direction, wisdom and strength every single day. Whether you know Jesus or not, I want you to know that I'm on a journey to learn, grow, step out in Faith not fear. We all are. There's always something that He's revealing to us. I used to believe the lies that because I don't know the Bible like the back of my hand, all there is to know about building a website, everything about fashion/home decor/clean eating etc. that I'm not qualified to sit here and share the things I am learning, that I love or am passionate about. It's a lie. The biggest lie. My point in saying this is that if you feel like you don't know all there is to know to start something that has been on your heart, you don't have to be an expert. Just start. Like, today!!
Any little life hack or tip I can share with you I will. Because if it's helped me, I know it can help someone else. I always welcome any advice too. I really just hope we can encourage one another while we do the best dang job we can at being the best version of ourselves and see that GOD is on our side through it all - even when it doesn’t feel like it.
Another thing you should probably know is that I have a huge passion for styling clothes. I'm an avid outfit repeater because when you have things in your closet that you LOVE you can't help but wear them over and over again. I want to encourage you to shop your closet and I hope that you can find some inspiration from the outfits that I share with you! You may not have that exact flannel or scarf but you can put a similar look together yourself with what you do have! I'm excited to keep you in the loop on sales from my favorite stores. Check out my Shop Retailers page to see my favorite things from each store!
I used to work retail for several years and I have to say that my favorite part was always helping clients put together multiple looks and giving them many ways to wear one piece of clothing. I have the same rule for myself - I need to be able to style something more than one way for it to stay in my closet! I don't follow the rules of fashion. Wear navy with black or brown with black. When in doubt, go back to the basics and keep it simple (kinda my thing with everything - simple). It doesn't need to be some out of the box idea and you shouldn't feel overwhelmed with trying to put looks together. Have fun with it!
Let me help you whip up a quick and tasty meal at home, hunt stores like Home Goods and Target to share my favorite finds and achieve a classic, yet comfortable, everyday style that will leave you with an extra pep in your step. I'll be sharing pieces of my life (behind the pretty Instagram photos) and things I've learned, my work-in-progress closet and daily style, my walk with the Lord, & my journey to overall healthier living (around our home, pantry, mind, body, and spirit) plus all the things that fall between!
Thanks for stopping by With Grace & Love and taking a quick moment to check out my little space. It’s been a long time coming, and I am so happy to have this place where I can share bits of my life with you!
So, stay tuned & check in weekly and let's live with more Grace and Love every day.
Hugs from me, Courtney
&
Kisses from Mia and Zoey,
who are always by my side.
