Hey girl hey! I’m celebrating right now because
1) This is my FIRST official blog post. Eeeee!!!! ♥
2) I figured out how to create one of these cute collages! Y A Y for learning new things and for having fun with it!! Let’s get down to it…here are five things I’m loving this Fall:
3. Knit Turtleneck Sweater, comes in 3 colors
4. Sam Edelman Penny Boot in ‘Whiskey’, also available in black
This would actually make the perfect Thanksgiving Day outfit. Just add leggings and you are good to go. Long cozy oversized sweater + a cute knit hat + dainty gold cuff = ready for a day of lounging and eating. Enjoy the journey…what a sweet reminder to remind you that each step along the way is a part of the process and it’s an opportunity to grow. Whatever season of life you’re in…it’s so so so important to remember to enjoy it… I’ve learned to be grateful for not only the good moments, but the not so good moments. As weird and as foreign as it sounds…be thankful for those little interruptions, inconveniences, bumps. Our circumstances don’t define who we are…or where we are in life…or even where we are going. However, it is very important that we choose to view them differently. We can learn from them. If someone hasn’t told you today that you are exactly where you’re meant to be…well you are. God is the orchestrator of your life and He’s got you right where he wants you!
So I actually picked up this knit hat in the light taupe color in store. The soft furry ball on top caught my eye. Taupe goes with so many things and I’m looking forward to wearing it once the weather starts to drop. My fingers are crossed for a white Christmas. It’s been 6 years since we’ve seen snow on Christmas Day. It was SO special though – snow started to fall as we were opening Christmas presents at my parent’s house and it was our FIRST married Christmas together and it was *PERFECT*.
Okay now let’s talk about the boots >> For reference…I would say my true shoe size is a 6.5 but I ALWAYS order a 7 if not a 7.5 in boots or tennis shoes, depending on how they run. I have a size 7 in these and they fit great. So maybe use that as your guide. Once my mom saw me wearing them, she grabbed them in BOTH colors. I got them when I was working retail and when I was on my feet a lot and wore them all the time along with this pair. Comfort is key…always. We’ve had them for a few years now and they are still in great shape, like brand new. I have to say though…that I take pretty darn good care of my things. I’ve learned a few tricks from my mom and dad – they both take really great care of their belongings and it really does make a difference in the life of your items. I can share more about this in the new year when I plan on sharing some organization posts with y’all!
If you’re not a fan of ordering shoes online? Well…Nordstrom has the BEST return policy…and you could always order two sizes and return the pair that doesn’t work out.
I’m excited to finally have a place to share things with y’all in a more detailed fashion. Instagram is great but it makes my heart happy to have it all organized so it’s easier for you to find things.
What are some of your fall favorites?
Let me know in the comments below.
